Amherst Town Hall –Will It Or Won’t It Go?

Officials in Amherst are considering moving Town Hall. Council has received complaints regarding the lack of handicapped parking spots and other issues at it current location on South Main Street. The New Era Progress reports the town installed a ramp in front of the entrance, several years ago, to improve accessibility. But the inside of the building still has challenges that need addressing. According to the article, options are limited when deciding whether to either expand or building new. A March 25 meeting date has been set to talk the municipal building’s future.
