Murder-For-Hire Suspects Waive Preliminary Hearing

The two Franklin County school employees charged in a murder-for-hire plot both waived their right to preliminary hearings in court yesterday. Angela Nolen is accused of trying to secure a hit man to kill her ex-husband. Her friend and co-worker, Cathy Bennett, is charged with trying to help Nolen find the hit man. The charges against them now go to a grand jury. Nolen was a kindergarten teacher at Sontag Elementary School, and Bennett was the school nurse there.
