Student Driver Crashes Walmart

A student driver almost crashed into a Lynchburg Walmart yesterday. Police say a 24-year-old driver with a learner’s permit apparently pushed the gas pedal instead of the brake, driving onto the curb, hitting a bench then vending machine and coming within inches of crashing into the Wards Road store. The wreck occurred just before 5-o’clock Thursday afternoon; No one was seriously injured and no charges have been filed.
