School Board To Consider Shifting Funds Tonight’s Meeting

LynchburgCitySchoolsThe Lynchburg City School Board will be considering a number of budget reallocation requests at tonight’s meeting. The School’s Superintendent has recommended the division shift $895,000 in the current operating budget to cover a wide range of purchases including musical instruments, maintenance vehicles, information technology equipment and other technology-related expenses, such as an intercom system at Fort Hill Community School. There’s also allowances proposed for staff members who work extra hours to revise instructional pacing guides. The 5:30pm meeting will be held at the School Administration Building on Court Street.
