Amherst Co. official resigns Amherst County's Economic Development Director has tendered his resignation in the wake of charges that he had innapropriate contact with a child under 13-years of age. John Mulvey was free on a ten-thousand-dollar bond after being arrested June 18th for aggravated sexual battery. Amherst County Board of Supervisors Chairman Leon Parrish is quoted in the Lynchburg News Advance as saying the board was awaiting the outcome of the trial before considering a resignation request. |
