The Appomattox County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery of a body on Wednesday afternoon. The body was found off of Aimee Lane around 4 p.m., but authorities have no information on the person's identity. The body has been sent to the Medical Examiner's Office in Roanoke for a determination on the cause and manner of death. Right now, there is no word on whether foul play was involved.
