It was 20 years ago today that veterans and patriots first gathered at Lynchburg’s Monument Terrace to support American troops in the War on Terror.  The first rally happened on November 30, 2001 after the September 11th attacks. WLNI and the Morningline helped organize the event, which was attended by about 200 people.  Veterans have been meeting each Friday ever since.   They marked the 1000 weeks milestone earlier this year.  Friday rallies are from noon to one at Monument Terrace downtown.
