Municipal elections today in Lynchburg, Appomattox, Pamplin

It’s municipal election day in Lynchburg, and if history is any indication, voter turnout today should something close to 30%.  Six candidates are running for the three available at-large seats. The last at-large election in Lynchburg was in 2010, and turnout that day neared 32%; in 2006, it was about 28%. Remember to bring proper-ID with you — click here for full voter identification information from the State Board of Elections. The Greater Lynchburg Transit Company provides free transit today on its regular routes to help you get to the polls. Also holding municipal elections today: Appomattox and Pamplin for mayor and town council. The polls are open until 7:00 pm.
