WLNI-SIt’s municipal election day in Lynchburg, and if history is any indication, voter turnout today should something close to 30%.  Six candidates are running for the three available at-large seats. The last at-large election in Lynchburg was in 2010, and turnout that day neared 32%; in 2006, it was about 28%. The Greater Lynchburg Transit Company provides free transit today on its regular routes to help you get to the polls. Also holding municipal elections today: Appomattox and Pamplin for mayor and town council. The polls are open until 7:00 pm.
