The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is planning a day of safety for next month. The multi-faceted public security event will provided on-site services for citizens such as safe handling and disposal at a “drop-off” station for outdated or unwanted medications. To minimize the threat of identity theft, a simultaneous on-site shredding event will be held to securely destroy personal documents. There will also be trained technicians available to assist with proper installation of child car seats and to demonstrate travel safety techniques. The services will be available free of charge and will be held on Saturday April 26 at the Campbell Sheriff’s Office lobby in Rustburg.
