According to a recently released report, more than 450 Nelson County residents received mental health-related services last year at a government-affiliated agency that provides mental health, intellectual disability and substance-use services in Central Virginia. The Region Ten Community Services Board says it strives to continue developing its system of care in crisis management, psychiatric care and substance abuse through the next fiscal year. Region Ten works in collaboration with other local agencies. Locally, the agency supports the Nelson Counseling Center, along with day treatment programs at the Horizon House.
