City planners are encouraging Lynchburg residents to attend an all-day zoning open house. Current regulations as described on the city website are “outdated, confusing and inconsistent” with community goals and visions mapped out in the city’s comprehensive plan, a tool to guide growth and development. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday in the second floor training room of City Hall for anyone who can’t attend Thursday’s workshops. Maps will be on-hand, as will city staff to field questions and listen to comments.
