American Civil War Museum In Next Phase of Collaboration

The American Civil War Museum is heading into the next phase of a collaboration between the Museum of the Confederacy and the American Civil War Center with the unveiling of a unique artifact. A Civil War era log cabin is being adding to the collection in Appomattox. Last November, the American Civil War Museum announced plans to combine their resources in Richmond. It’s a $34 million project’ and will create interactive, live exhibitions in an attempt to make them the premier Civil War museums in the country. The new facilities aren’t expected to be ready until the spring or summer of 2017.
