Amherst County Man Killed in Accident Sunday

Authorities say an Amherst County man was killed in an accident Sunday evening on Rt.29. The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office says two motorcyclists, 19-year-old William Clements and 18-year-old Zachary Trent, were riding on Route29 near the intersection of Dairy Lane when the accident happened. Media outlets report both Clements and Trent were taken to the hospital, where Trent died from his injuries. Officials say the crash is still under investigation. No charges have been made yet.
