From the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office: On 06/28/2016 investigators from the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office arrested Timothy Brian Rinker, 42, of Amherst without incident on (8) counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Rinker was transported to the Amherst Adult Detention Center where he is being held without bond. The charges stem from an ongoing investigation that is being conducted with the assistance of the Lynchburg Police Department. More charges are anticipated.
