The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office and Amherst Police Department are seeking information on two recent break-ins at the Amherst Dance Academy in the town of Amherst and The Sweet Spot ice cream shop in Madison Heights. According to the News & Advance, both locations were broken into between Sunday night and Monday morning…sources say “several hundred dollars” were taken. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information regarding the crimes, and all information is confidential.
