stormwater management logoThe Appomattox Board of Supervisors on Monday voted to defer the Stormwater Management Program to the state; citing a lack of funding to run the program on its own. The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality will continue to administer the program, which means area contractors and builders will have to get the appropriate stormwater permits. The requirements and fees still are set to begin; and Appomattox staff still will be responsible for issuing erosion and sediment permits. Lynchburg is required to manage its program; Bedford and Campbell counties opted to manage their own programs.
