The search is on for local families interested in sharing the wonderful world of cultural exchange. NW Services was founded in 1996, its PEACE program is a high school student exchange initiative. The organization is currently in search for host families in the Lynchburg area willing to provide nurturing home-life for an international teen for 5 to 10 months while the student attends a local high school. Students range in age from 15 to 18 years old and arrive from more than 20 different countries. Facilitators say early placement is crucial; the goal is to have students matched by May 1.
