Authorities Search For A Double-Dip Thief

Lynchburg Police are still on the search for the man they say stole money from both Lynchburg Sheetz locations on the same day. Police say the man first went to the Sheetz on Wards Road and then the one on Lakeside Drive on the morning of November 28. In both instances, authorities say the man asked for change for $100.00. When clerks opened the cash drawer in an attempt to make change, the subject reached in, grabbed the money and fled in a dark colored compact vehicle. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with “AND 1” written on the front on it. Anyone with information is asked to contact crime stoppers.
