A balloon marking the location of a proposed cell tower off Langhorne Road was released on Wednesday. Requested by city officials, the balloon test is connected to the proposal to build a new AT&T cell tower. The red balloon was flown up to 145 feet and used as a marker to illustrate how tall the tower would be and how visible it will be from around the Lynchburg neighborhood. The proposal is pending approval by City Council.
