The man who robbed the Farmers Bank in Appomattox has been sentenced 30 years. 29 year old Ubel Booker-Bey Jr. entered an Alford plea earlier this year to one count each of robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He was arrested just an hour after the robbery back in September of 2012. Authorities say he used a toy gun while dressed in women’s clothing. The judge ruled that the robbery was not an impulse in that he had a prearranged disguise and went to more than one location with intent to rob.
