Summer makes it tough for The Amercian Red Cross to meet the constant need. During the months of June, July and August, there are fewer blood donors scheduling appointments to give blood at local blood drives, than what patients need. The seasonal challenge can be overcome if just two more donors – above what is expected – make an appointment and give blood at each Red Cross blood drive for the rest of the summer. Clifford Baptist Church, on Fletchers Level Road in Amherst will host a blood drive Tuesday from Noon until 6pm.
