Blue Ridge Optics Named Technology Company of the Year

On Tuesday the Region 2000 Technology Council named Blue Ridge Optics “Technology Company of the Year.” Blue Ridge Optics, is the only manufacturers in Virginia making their specific product attracting business from across the country, all while being headquartered in Bedford. WDBJ-7 reports, 80 percent of its workforce is made up of people from the town. The low cost of doing business in Bedford, combined with the town’s skilled workforce, has committed the owners to staying in our region as they grow.
