The Lynchburg City School Board today is set to vote on a school calendar for 2014-15. The calendar is similar to this year’s calendar, except Election Day in November would be a holiday rather than a teacher workday. The plan assumes the division will be able to get a waiver from the state to allow classes to start prior to Labor Day. Media outlets report, Lynchburg City Schools has been successful in recent years in securing such a waiver. Board members, this evening are also slated to hear a presentation on trends in student enrollment.
