Lynchburg-based BWXT is requiring that its workers be fully vaccinated before January 3rd or be voluntarily terminated.   Close to 100 BWXT workers in Lynchburg turned out at the downtown headquarters yesterday to protest.

Gardner says he’d like to the company to offer a chance to reach a compromise.

BWXT issued a statement saying “This mandate is unprecedented for our workers and our company, and we understand that employees have concerns or may desire more information. We are working to answer employees’ questions, and we are reviewing exemption requests in a thoughtful and methodical manner.”
