CampbellCountyCampbell County is among numerous localities across the state struggling to meet an ever increasing demand for emergency medical service. During the past few years, the county’s 911 call volume has steadily increased—about 2-thousand more calls a year from 2006. According to the Public Safety Director, The demand has increased because of a growing and aging population in the county. In January, the Board of Supervisors approved six additional full-time EMS employees; the county will be up to three 24/7 squads beginning in April.
