R. David Laurrell has spent the last 19 years with Campbell County. During his tenure, the County implemented an award-winning Public Safety Department, Enhanced 9-1-1 and consolidated emergency services communications system; and awarded the statewide best achievement award by the Virginia Association of Counties in 2010. Beginning in September Laurrell will working on a part-time basis. The county hopes to have his position filled by October.
