Appomattox Town Council will consider selling leasing rights for the town’s cell tower sites at today’s meeting. The town’s four cell tower locations are on the table for outside vendors to purchase and lease to other companies. The vote was tabled on January 13 because council members had unanswered questions, According to the News & Advance, by selling these rights to outside vendors, the town no longer would collect money on the sites, unless another company locates there or the rates increase. The lease deadline is tonight.
