The College Board is looking to have more-prepared students in the future… which is why a new SAT will be released in 2016. Fifty-seven percent of students in 2013 who took a nationally recognized college admission exam lacked academic skills to succeed in an entry-level college class. According to the Times-Virginian, in the math section, there will be calculator and no-calculator sections on the tests; so that college professors will know whether or not students lack basic college math skills. Changes will be made to the reading portion of the exam as well.
