Lynchburg Schools are preparing for a new school year. The first day back in the classroom for city students is Aug. 25. Officials say back-to-school registration will be held from 12:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19. All students entering sixth grade for the first time need the T-dap vaccination. Registration should take place at the school that the child will be attending. Two current forms of proof of residency is required.
