Co-Defendant Sentenced For Hotel Hold Up

A Nathalie man will serve eight years in prison for his role in holding up a couple with a gun inside an Altavista hotel room last April. 19 year old, Daeshawn Lamont Rendon, entered Alford pleas in January to two counts of robbery and two counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony; on Wednesday, he was sentenced to 28 years but the judge suspended the time after eight years served. Co-defendant, Randall Lee Compton, was recently sentenced to more than two decades behind bars for related charges.
