Appomattox Council on Tuesday provided updates on the town’s priority initiatives list. According to the News & Advance, each council member is assigned to chair a committee that is made up of other town officials, residents and business leaders. The list established from November’s council retreat includes, exploring the possibility of a water/splash park, improving communications between council and the community, creating spot gardens along highways, relationship management growth, infrastructure and finances. The committees were created in an effort to meet council’s request to become more involved with the community.
