Constructing Work at a Campbell County Park is Slated to Begin Later This Spring

Last September, the Board of Supervisors gave a green light for the Department of Recreation to move forward with the development and construction in the new part of English Park in Altavista. The two phase plan includes work on ball fields, three of which will be designated for soccer, while two other will be multipurpose; the project also includes upgrading of an unpaved road and putting in two perimeter trails. Officials say, weather permitting, work is expected to get underway by May 1.
