A 64 year old Nelson County man will serve five years in prison on three felony drug charges. David C. Ragland of Schuyer was sentenced last month after pleaded guilty to charges of distribution of more than 5 pounds of marijuana, manufacturing marijuana not for personal use and possession of a firearm while in possession of more than 1 pound of marijuana. Ragland received 25 years overall for the three charges, with all but five years suspended. He now faces multiple marijuana related charges in Fluvanna County; his next court date for those felony charges is June 23.
