The trial of a man accused of killing his estranged mother-in-law begins on Monday. 50 year old, Scott Christman Miles is charged with one count of first-degree murder in the death of 86-year-old Lynda Slocum in her Lynchburg home on Dec. 20, 2012. The prosecutor is expects to call as many as 50 witnesses, including an FBI expert to testify the crime scene was staged to resemble a burglary.
