A crash involving a Lynchburg police cruiser and an Allied Cab, Wednesday afternoon, caused traffic detours during the lunch rush hour and sent both drivers to the hospital. Media outlets report, the patrol car was hit near E.C Glass High School. The officer had his lights and sirens on answering a call when he was hit at the intersection of Memorial and Langhorne. Both drivers were treated for minor injuries and later released. The cab reportedly had the green light; an investigation is underway. No charges have been filed at this time.
