Lynchburg City Council yesterday was briefed on plans to renovate the stadium’s football facilities. The project has taken on new urgency as the Heritage High reconstruction is slated to start this year and will displace temporarily the school’s on-site fields. The News and Advance reports, stadium renovation, including money already allocated, is expected to cost $8.3 million. Work on the new field is slated to start in late April.
