Authorities are seeking leads regarding in a string of home burglaries and larcenies at Smith Mountain Lake. Bedford County Sheriff’s office is hoping the public can assist the investigation and help lead them to the arrest of a suspect (or suspects). According to the Smith Mountain Eagle, the crimes occurred from July 30 through Aug. 18, in the Goodview area; with victims reporting stolen jewelry, money, guns, lawn equipment, as well as fishing equipment from homes and boat docks. Anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers-callers remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if their tips lead to an arrest.
