Texas Senator Ted Cruz brought what may become a presidential campaign to Liberty University today. Speaking at one of Liberty’s regular convocations, Cruz urged the students to resist what he called the assault on religion and religious values in this country.
He urged Liberty students to defend the rights of believers and to use all the social media tools now available.
Cruz is a Texas Republican senator. He told the Liberty students they have a responsibility and ability to push back against health care mandates for birth control coverage when it violates an employers religious principles.
