Death Investigation Ongoing

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the death of the two people found Saturday on Tucker Terrace in the Evington area. Investigators are waiting for autopsy results and the examination of forensic evidence… which could day several weeks or longer. The sheriff’s office says preliminary investigations do not indicate involvement of a third party in the two deaths. The Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke confirmed to the News & Advance on Monday that one of the body’s is that of Ruby Laughon … listed as the owner of the Tucker Terrace property.
