Death of Lynchburg Couple Was A Murder/Suicide

Authorities say the shooting that left two people dead inside a Lynchburg townhome Monday, has been ruled a murder suicide. Lynchburg police discovered the bodies of 34 year old Clyde Douglas Wrenn and 37 year old Stacy Michelle Ritchie at the Terrace Brooke Apartments. Investigators say both were shot by a handgun sometime between Sunday evening — when they were last seen by a family member — and the morning of January 20, when their bodies were discovered. The medical examiner performed an autopsy and determined Wrenn shot Ritchie before shooting himself. Reportedly, Wrenn was arrested for assault and battery of a family member in August of 2012.
