The Bedford County Board of Supervisors is expected to approve a resolution tonight honoring Del. Lacey Putney. Putney, a Big Island native, was the longest-serving state legislator in Virginia history; he has practiced law in Bedford since 1957 and has served the 19th District in the General Assembly for 52 years. Putney is retiring at the end of the year. The meeting will take place 7:30 p.m., following a work session. It will be held on the top floor of the administration building in Bedford.
