Deputies smell pot in home, find $10,000 worth inside

From the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office: On 03/16/2016 deputies from the Sheriff’s Office went to 1065 Woodson Rd in Roseland to serve an outstanding capias on David John Harker, 36 of Roseland. While at the vacant residence, deputies detected the odor of marijuana coming from the residence and subsequently obtained a search warrant. After executing the warrant deputies found an indoor grow operation of 21 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $10,000. Charges are pending in relation to this incident, however, Harker is still wanted for Failure to Appear charges out of Amherst.
