The Lynchburg Office of Economic Development has planned a workshop for next Wednesday, entitled “Recruiting a Diverse Workforce”. LOED leads business retention, attraction and new business development initiatives for the City; the organization provides resources to area businesses to acquire financing, build a workforce, develop markets and distribute products. Organizers of the upcoming seminar say participants will learn how to reach out to diverse communities and discover how different perspectives can benefit business. The event will be held at Areva’s office on Old Forest Road from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Feb 26. To register, call 455-4490—to learn more about the agency visit: opportunitylynchburg.com
