Donald TrumpLYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) _ Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at Liberty University this month. Multiple media outlets report that Trump will address students at convocation on Jan. 18, which is the first day of classes for the school’s spring semester. Trump last visited the university in 2012 when he also spoke at convocation. In a news release on the school’s website, Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. says he and his wife, Becki Falwell, have stayed in “close contact” with Trump and his top aide, Michael Cohen, since that visit. Falwell says the convocation will be open to the public, with a reserved section for local residents who want to attend. Other presidential candidates to visit Liberty University recently include Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and Dr. Ben Carson.
