The digital era has arrived with a new e-reader lending program at the Lynchburg Public Library. Library card holders can check out Nooks and Kindles from the main branch on Memorial Avenue. The devices have been streamlined and are easy to navigate. Administrators say the devises are scanned and checked out just like a print book. The digital devices come preloaded with a list of best-selling titles. Each of the four readers was set up with a designated category. E-readers can be reserved online, by phone or in person at the library in Lynchburg.
