Expect Delays In Downtown For The Next Weeks

Downtown Lynchburg street closures are set to take effect tomorrow– and last about two and a half weeks. The city’s Public Works Department says the eastbound lane of Commerce Street will close tomorrow between 11th and Main Streets and 12th Street will be closed to through traffic between Main and Commerce .this to allow for road construction. There will be detour signs up to guide you around the work. and the city says emergency vehicles will have access at all times. The project is scheduled for completion by Friday, June 13th.
