An investigation continues into the cause of the Wednesday night fire that destroyed an Amherst County mobile home. According to the Amherst County Public Safety Director, the double-wide trailer was completely engulfed by the time the first responders arrived just after midnight on Boxwood Farm Road. Officials say no one was injured in the blaze–But the home is a total loss. The Red Cross is assisting the family of four; the two adults and two children were not home at the time of the fire.
