From Lynchburg City Schools: Lynchburg – The Lynchburg City School Board approved the superintendent’s recommendation to hire Chris Glover as the new assistant principal for Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School for Innovation.
Mr. Glover was an American History teacher at Heritage High School from August 2007 through July 2012. After 2012 he began working on his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in Urban Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. During this time he also worked as a graduate assistant at UNC Charlotte and an Evaluation Coordinator for Freedom School Partners.
“Mr. Glover has a great deal of experience working with students both inside and outside the classroom,” said LCS superintendent Scott Brabrand. “I am confident he will work well with the Dunbar community to foster student and family engagement that will support our LCS Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, and Learning.”
Mr. Glover continues to pursue his Ph. D. at UNC Charlotte. In 2012, he received a master’s degree in Educational Leadership with K-12 School Administration licensure from Lynchburg College. He earned his bachelor’s degree in History in 2007 from Christopher Newport University.
