From Lynchburg Police: On Wednesday February 18, 2015 at 1117am, the Lynchburg Police Department along with the Lynchburg Fire and EMS responded to the 800 block of Greenfield Drive in reference to a motor vehicle crash involving 2010 Gillig transport bus and a pedestrian. The preliminary investigation has determined that the GLTC bus was pulling away from a bus stop on Greenfield Drive and struck a 4 yoa female with the left front of the bus. The 4 yoa female was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital by Lynchburg Fire and EMS, and then was transferred to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where she is listed in critical condition. The Lynchburg Police Department Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the crash and additional charges are pending.
