GLTC Lines on the Rise

The number of folks using GLTC’s bus line appears to be on the rise. According to a recent Greater Lynchburg Transit report, ridership has increased nearly 8 percent in the most recent fiscal year ended June 30. The company reported about 2.5 million passengers  on fixed routes run by the majority of the company’s fleet  boarded the buses in the ‘13-14 year, which was up from about 2.3 million the previous year. GLTC runs 14 bus routes Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and runs 11 buses the same hours on Saturday.
